To Dream the Impossible

July 25th, 2006  |  Published in Football  |  2 Comments

For those of you that are familiar with the UT athletic Ticket office and the rankings and regulations on moving, adding and just plan trying to get a ticket at the UT football games, you know how hard it can be to get any of your requests or changes honored. And now that UT won the National Title this past year, it’s even hard to make any kind of formal change and expect it to be honored.

I am, however, excited to report, a miracle to you today. The season ticket block that I sit in with 9 of my other close friends from college, were in fact able to get our tickets moved from one side of the stands to the others. For years we have been unable to see the jumbotron and we have stuck out past the end zone. Today my friends, I am happy to report that we moved to other side of our section (we’re still on the alumni side) but went for section 101 to 108, putting us on the 15 yard line rather than past the end zone. And all of our seats are together! To dream the impossible dream finally came true.

Be it noted that connections within the Longhorn Foundation, really do pay off!

Let it be known that when anyone of your 9 cannot make it to a game, the Dubs will happily fill their spot! Congratulations!

Wooo hooo!!!!! We get to see the JumboTron! I can’t wait for all the instant replays, the player close-ups, the kung-fu-movie-like weather updates form the reporter on the sidelies, being able to say “ohhhhhhhh” and “oooooooooo” and “aaaahhhhhh” with the rest of the fans after the replay of a bone-crunching tackle by the Longhorn secondary! Section 108 rocks!
