Political Garbage

Voting season is upon us and it’s apparent everywhere you go. Signs litter the sides of roads and highways all over the place. Personally, my own mailbox has been filled with a slew of mailers addressed to my family. Not me, but the to the family of. Tons of money is spent just trying to get a candidates name out there and rightly so I guess.

I believe it’s our right and our duty to vote. If you haven’t voted yet, you should. But, I have to admit, the clutter and mirage of posters and yard signs is little sicking when you get anywhere close to a voting location. Is it simply a reminder to vote, to vote here, or is it just a little bit over the top?

Yeah, it is a little crazy. All I know is that we gotta get our gov. outta there. She is nuts….all the rest I can deal with. And that is all I have to say about that.

I’ve always wondered about that glut of signage that really blocks itself out around polling places (obviously kept at a legal distance). Do people come to the polls not really remembering who they’re voting for and need a little memory jogging (yikes)? Do they blindly throw darts at the signs before doing their civic, democratic duty (even more yikes)? Being a stickler for people and myself being informed, I can’t really imagine going on the day for my 5 minutes in line and being like - ‘oh wait, nice FONT - what’s your platform?’.

All that to say - get ready for tomorrow and the craziness!
